Lovejoy Bakers Lighting

IMG_9879_2The first photo of the porcelain shades we made in collaboration with the design studio Fix for Lovejoy Bakers (a new venture opening tomorrow in the Pearl district of Portland)! Hand-thrown on the wheel, then warped and glazed with an airbrush to give them a powder-coated (looking) exterior. We’re pleased as punch with the outcome.

Sunday Best Holiday Sale

sunday best web headerWe are very excited to be a part of the 4th annual Sunday Best holiday sale, taking place the weekend after Thanksgiving at the Ace Hotel’s Cleaners event space.  Visit the website to learn more about each vendor participating, it’s an amazing collection of textile, personal accessories, home decor and paper artists, all under one roof for two days only! We’re hard at work making lots and lots of extra pieces, plus a few new designs that will be available exclusively at the sale. Kick off the holiday shopping season right by supporting this fantastic local community of designers. We look forward to seeing you there.

Saturday November 28 -11 am to 7 pm, Sunday November 29-11 am to 5 pm at The Cleaners event space, located on corner of SW 10th & Stark.

S P A C E

space_pigeon_toe-7017Photographer and blogger Leah Verwey recently visited us to document our creative space for her aptly named new blog SPACE — sneak a peak inside our studio here and check out the other creative Portland forces she’s recently documented while you’re there. I love the concept of her blog and cannot wait to glimpse inside more studios and workshops in the coming months.
