Clive Coffee

Our newest custom project is coffee mugs for local roaster Clive Coffee. Contained within that fabulously understated packaging is some very delicious hand-roasted beans, and they needed an equally fabulous hand-crafted mug to match. You can purchase the mugs (2 color choices!) here, and don’t forget to pick up a bag or two while you’re at it – our studio varietal of choice is the Papua New Guinea.

In the meantime, watch this great little video Clive put together documenting the process:

space_pigeon_toe-7017Photographer and blogger Leah Verwey recently visited us to document our creative space for her aptly named new blog SPACE — sneak a peak inside our studio here and check out the other creative Portland forces she’s recently documented while you’re there. I love the concept of her blog and cannot wait to glimpse inside more studios and workshops in the coming months.

In the Studio with Pigeon Toe

3547935167_31ae34d850_oHave you ever wondered about the process of making a Pigeon Toe piece? Photographer Alicia Carrier spent time in our studio last week documenting a typical production session in our studio for your enjoyment. Each piece from start to finish takes about 3 weeks – see multiple stages in our new image gallery, from throwing, trimming, firing, glazing, and firing again! Thanks to Heart Handmade for debuting this project on their website today. We hope you enjoy this little peek into our process, and we hope to add even more images in the future, so keep checking back!
