New Stores Carrying Pigeon Toe

Today we welcome three new stores to the Pigeon Toe fold, including one international addition. Coriander Girl has the distinction of being our first retailer in Canada, in the fine city of Toronto. Barring the customs officials loving the shipment so much that they delay its approval to spend more time with the pottery, the pieces will arrive next week. Also new this week is Show, a fantastic lifestyle store in L.A. that I’m dying to visit and shop at, and Semplice in New Jersey with a lovely array of home furnishings and gifts. If you live nearby any of these shops, stop by and say hello. Welcome!

Trunk Show at Lille

On Friday, February 5th from 6-9 PM we will be at Lille, a lovely lingerie shop here in Portland that also hosts First Friday art events, showcasing our Spring lighting collection, called Striae, as well as new tabletop pieces and old favorites in new colors. Spring/Summer 2010 doesn’t officially launch until March 1, so anyone in attendance will see the new pieces before anyone else, and have first dibs to buy! The lights are all hand-thrown porcelain with inset stripes, tiers and banding, then slipcast to create an ultra-thin surface so the whole shade glows. (Psst – sneak a peak at the in-progress lights and new tableware designs here) We’ve topped them off with an edison bulb and a 11 ft plug and switch cord. A new extra large canning jar pendant light will also be in attendance.

Amazing photographer Lisa Warninger will kindly sharing the spotlight with me; she will be showing her boudoir photos, styled by Rebecca Westby. Lisa & Rebecca are shooting/styling our Spring lookbook shortly after this event and we couldn’t be more excited – her photos are lovely, warm and intimate.

Come for the lights and photos, stay for the free chocolate and mouth-watering intimates. We hope to see you there!

The talented Kelly from Succulent Love recently sent over some photos of her arrangements in our Tripod Pots. Don’t they just look gorgeous with her plants? I love how she left the soil low so that little slivers of bright color would show through. And look at the cute sign she made for a recent event:

Kelly is working on opening a retail space later this year, and if you’re lucky, it will be in your city. We look forward to seeing more pieces potted up in the year to come. In the meantime, you’ll have to satisfy yourself with shopping on her website.
